We're located in Castleford, West Yorkshire, with excellent access to nearby motorways such as the M1 and M62. Thanks to this convenient location, we're able to despatch your consignments to any part of the UK or Europe with ease.

Our offices are open 8am–6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am–11am on Saturday. If you need an urgent same-day delivery outside these hours, call our 24-hour line on 0845 2222 666.

Same-day means we collect and deliver on the same day, anywhere in the UK - the right choice when something genuinely can't wait until tomorrow. Overnight, through the APC Overnight network, means next-day delivery with optional timed slots and Saturday options - a better fit for planned, less time-critical consignments. If you're not sure which fits your job, just call or email us and we'll advise.

For a one-off delivery, no account is needed - just call or email and we'll book it in directly. If you send with us regularly, let us know and we can look at setting up an account to make things quicker in future.

It depends on the service. For overnight parcels, we work within the standard APC network bands - from a 1kg MailPack up to 30kg items measuring up to 120 x 55 x 50cm, with larger non-conveyable and excess-length options available too. For same-day, our fleet ranges from 3.5 tonne vans up to 26 tonne tail-lift trucks, so weight and size are rarely the limiting factor. Same-day collections can often be arranged for later the same day, depending on how busy we are and where you're based - the earlier you call, the more flexibility we have. For guaranteed timing, it's always best to book as early in the day as possible.

Yes. Parcels sent through our APC Overnight service are tracked through APC Choice - enter your consignment number and delivery postcode to see live updates, a 2-hour delivery window, and options to manage the delivery.

The driver will leave a "Sorry We Missed You" card. From there, you can use APC Choice to rearrange delivery or collection. It's best to act within three working days of a missed delivery, as parcels may be returned to the sender after that.

For overnight parcels, APC Choice lets you change the delivery date, request a safe place, or arrange collection, depending on what the sender has allowed. For same-day jobs, just call us directly and we'll do what we can to accommodate a change.

Yes - Saturday delivery is available on our overnight service, with options for standard Saturday delivery or timed slots before 10:30am or 12:00pm. Get in touch to check availability for your postcode.

Yes. Through the APC network we offer specialist handling for fragile goods, liquids, high-value items requiring extra security, and small quantities of regulated goods - all hand-sorted rather than run through automated machinery. Just let us know when booking so it's handled correctly from collection.

Yes - our same-day fleet regularly delivers to demanding sites including refineries, helipads, docks, and construction sites, alongside standard business addresses. If your delivery location needs special access arrangements, let us know when booking.

The APC network's timed delivery options are commonly used for fresh produce, perishable goods, and medical supplies, where arrival time matters. Get in touch to talk through your specific requirements.

Every overnight parcel travels via a hub-and-spoke network: we collect locally and send it to APC's central hub overnight, where it's sorted by destination and sent back out to the depot nearest its destination for final delivery the next day. We're a genuine local depot, not a call centre or booking agent - HEC Logistics has operated from Yorkshire since 1989. We're also an independent member depot of the APC Overnight network, which is how we combine local accountability with national and international reach.
